Belfast is certainly becoming the place to shop with the opening
of the New Victoria Square Centre in the heart of the City. This
massive shopping centre sits on the grounds of the old Victoria
Centre and the old IDB building in Chichester Street area of Belfast
City. The building
represents a new era in Belfast as it is covered in an enormous
amount of glass, with even the canopy being made of glass, a sight
rarely seen in Belfast due to the troubles. The new Victoria Square
Centre also features a huge dome, visible on the Belfast skyline,
and affords shoppers to the centre an excellent view of Belfast
City. Why not visit and take you own Belfast photos.

Not all the shops, restaurants and entertainment facilities
(cinemas) are open yet but various stores are open and doing healthy
trade. The anchor store for the complex is House of Frazer, Belfast
store, with other stores set to move in such as the Carphone
Warehouse and Top Shop. Above the shopping centre are apartments,
including penthouse apartments should you fancy living in the Heart
of Belfast City Centre. You can enter the Victoria Square Centre
from House of Frazer, Chichester Street entrance, from Victoria
Street, from Anne Street or even from Corn Market, so happy Belfast shopping.
