It's frightening that a law we were sold as anti-terror has so easily be used against a friendly nation and a nation that was until days ago our friend. If our government can so
easily use such laws against our friends perhaps those warning us of danger to come were not wrong, perhaps they will use such laws against
us.

How Times Have Changed
Years ago, all over the UK people were
accustomed to signs that warned us of bad people like
Burglars or Thieves, operating in an area - Belfast breaks
with tradition by warning the public that the supposed
'goods guys' operate in the area. |

What A Load Of Rubbish - I was amazed at what some people let their council
get away with. We've seen people being fined for having bins slightly open, we've seen demands to have householders pull the bin to the lorry and now Uttlesford in Essex has told cul-de-sac residents to bring waste bins to the open road in
future.
My advice is BIN THEM, vote the councillors who passed this motion onto the scrap heap.

| Your Every
Little Makes Their Wealth! I was recently
looking for life insurance, along the lines of the old endowment
policies. So I phoned Tesco and was told they could
insure me up to my 70th Birthday. After that I had no
option to continue to continue with them and their was
no lump sum payout on that date either.
I questioned why I would pay a premium for
nearly 40 years with no return - but the call centre
couldn't reply! Tesco were not alone in this policy, but
it's just one more reason why I don't shop there. |

| Beware of
Thieves - we have all seen signs in certain car parks
warning us of the danger of thieves and advising us to
take our valuables with us. That's just become a
impossibility for the thieves are now stealing the very
petrol out of your tank and they're not stopping there,
they're stealing your household heating oil too,
straight out of your garden tanks.
Police forces across the country are advising
householders to beware.

| NHS Dentists
- I recently had to start looking for a new dentist my
other having retired. I had no idea how much things had
changed in the UK. I was turned away from several
because they were no only accepting private patients. I
eventually found one who did private and NHS work, but
felt as if I was getting a second rate service.

- I was surprised to read that a Citizens Advice Bureau
sacked an employee for raising the alarm that one of her
clients intended to commit suicide. Terri King's actions
were a breach the CAB argued at tribunal, thank God
wisdom prevailed and she was awarded £18,000
compensation, an firm indication (bbc
